Well I have just spoken to a great chap who deals with SEO in the furniture industry who says furniture can be very competitive. I can understand that but by coming from the IT Industry as a engineer, pine and oak furniture does not look as bad as selling items from other industries.
The longtail variations for furniture for a start are huge with many people looking for individual items of wooden furniture and not just pine or oak furniture as a keyword. The keywords we have had so far coming to OakandPineOnline range from wardrobes, dining tables, chest of drawers from white to rustic furniture to variations of a style and individual pieces such as a Aarhus wardrobe.
Either way, I am not going to be detered from those who are in the industry saying its competitive but I do appreciate their honesty 100% as they know what furniture sells, the trends for each year and time of year, what type of styles are most popular and ideas to get people to their site instead of a competitor. At the end of the day. Google ranks many wooden furniture sites which only have say 100 pages but this site is already bigger than this. We not needs links, domain age and to keep going.
