Bed Buying Guide Part 1
You know when it is time for a new bed when your current bed does not support you properly or is not as comfortable as it used to be. These combined could be the reason many people do not get a proper nights sleep.
Even though a bed is a large piece of furniture and usually built very well with much research put into each variation, they do not last forever. The life of a bed can depend on many aspects such as
Is it used for reading before bed
Is it used for watching television
It is used each night or as a spare bed in the spare room
The quality of the frame and mattress
There are also other factors which can effect the life of a bed including loosing or gaining weight or minor factors such as moving home and the bed loosing its strength a little when disassembled and reassembled in your new home.
The Mattress Itself
As with a bed, a mattress can also produce a great nights sleep or a restless night. There maybe indications you can think of which could point to requiring a new mattress for your bed.
When waking up, you feel aches and pains which subside as your day goes
Your sleep is not as deep as it was previously, a few months ago or last year.
You sleep better in another bed in your home or a friends house
The mattress is showing signs of age or loosing quality
Either a new bed, mattress or combined should provide you with a good nights sleep, leaving you feeling revitalised and refreshed when you wake. It has been known by many than an expensive mattress does not mean it is always as comfy as a cheaper mattress. This is why it is very important to try out a mattress before buying. A lower cost mattress that may cost £100 can easily be more comfortable and provide a deeper sleep than a mattress which costs £200.
There are so many beds and mattresses to choose from with each one having its own particular feel. Trying out mattresses in a store can be a very good idea or if you find a bed at a friend or families home, making sure you purchase the same bed and mattress to have the same comfort you have found elsewhere.
Interesting Facts
Buying a new bed and mattress can provide you with a much better sleep than taking sleeping pills. This research has been provided by a sleep expert called Dr Chris Ldzikowski who found that people who sleep on an uncomfortable bed can sleep a hour less than those on a comfortable bed and mattress.
